A weekend spent at San Francisco’s California Academy of Science will be a memorable experience for your children. A trip to the science site may be the ideal choice for your children. This will help them be more aware of entertainment options. Watching the ocean, land, and sky come alive is an exhilarating experience and a great way to develop a child’s curiosity. Parking might be a problem here, but you’ll feel great when you enter this Science Center. Biological evidence and discovering fascinating life collections can heighten the kid’s interest in science.

Morrison Planetarium

This Planetarium really makes a miraculous entry into the world of science and discovery. This time, the show shows what forms might life take in the Solar System and beyond? You can make sense of how Earth might help us locate other living worlds, light-years away.

Not only Kids, even adults also love planetarium shows because there are astonishing effects and many planets in the show. Everyone loves to watch the planetarium show because it’s like spaceship effects, and when it’s going down on one of the planets, it is like you are really down upon the planet. This Planetarium, a 75-foot dome —is one of the largest all-digital planetariums in the world.

Please note that this is not for children four years below, and Planetarium shows may not be appropriate for children under 7. Free reservations are required for all shows and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Steinhart Aquarium & Amazon Rainforest

In this aquarium, you can see the home of nearly 40,000 live animals, which is representing more than 900 unique species. Coral reef ecosystems are eye-catching. Everyone will fall in love seeing the underwater view and terrestrial habitats. Kids like to see a white alligator, a rare species of albino, and it is the center of attraction.

This aquarium is huge, where kids can see glowing jellyfishes that are very cool, and if kids like red or purple colors, they will surely enjoy them. Also, kids can look at the beautiful colorful fishes all around them. In addition, there is a setup of a four-story Amazon forest, where kids could look at 250 flying birds, Tropical Flora, including- Brazilian beauty leaf, Theobroma cacao- the plant which is for chocolate making, golden silk orb-weaver spiders, and an Amazonian fish that glide overhead. Also, they can look at the giant snakes! 

This aquarium is on the bottom floor. This place plays a role in teaching everyone how our ocean and rainforest’s biodiversity are amazing.

Natural World Photography

There is natural wildlife photography in the entryway inside this museum. In addition, you can see the photography of the winners. “Beak to Beak,” “The Goblet of Fire,” “Klukshu Ice Bears,” “Hope in a burned plantation,” and “Another Planet” are some of the winning photography, and all are amazing. You will definitely praise the photographers.

Sunday: 11 am-5 pm
Last daytime entry at 4 pm

To explore all the academy has to offer, it is recommended that you come early.
