How satisfied will you be with the life you lived? Did you dare to pursue your most challenging or disruptive dreams? Were you smart, stubborn, persistent, cunning, and bold enough to follow your goals passionately according to your inner self, heart, and emotions?

Have you been brave enough to jump on the train or to cross the river? Have you ever wondered how you would like people to remember you when you pass away? Did you stay true to your way of life and principles? What legacy do you wish to leave behind?

Legacy is not just about accomplishments but about the impact we have on others, the lessons we learn and share, the human relationships we build, and the memories we leave behind. For me, my legacy is built on the foundation of respect, commitment, daring to pursue my dreams with passion, friendship, care, gratitude, kindness, support, love, the courage to face challenges, smiling as much as possible, not taking life too seriously but enjoying it, imagining different possible scenarios to explore new possibilities, always looking for ways to help others and support nature.

My Principles and Way of Life

way of life

Throughout my life I have tried to follow various life models, such as those of my parents, some teachers or characters in books that have caught my attention for their attitude towards life and their behavior; I have also played the “What-if” game a lot in my mind, searching and imagining different possibilities in alternative scenarios trying to find answers, solutions and of course my own lifestyle, according to the principles of:

  • Honoring my word – Ensure that my actions align with my words, maintaining integrity, trust, and consistency in all aspects of life.
  • Respecting– For all people, animals, and nature.
  • Gratitude –I am grateful for the people and opportunities I have had during my life.
  • Kindness – Offering help and empathy to those in need.
  • Fun – Keeping a lighthearted approach to life and enjoying every moment.
  • Supportiveness – Being present for family, relatives, friends, and colleagues.
  • Love – Showing care and affection in my relationships.
  • Listening – Truly hearing others and valuing their perspectives.
  • Courage – Daring to face obstacles and chase my dreams.
  • Persistence and passion – Having the determination and resilience to climb my mountains while embracing the journey with enthusiasm and joy.
  • Fulfillment of agreements and commitments – As agreed upon with myself and with others.
  • Commitment to community and environment – Striving to preserve and protect the environment around me.
  • Active living – Exercising and playing soccer throughout my whole life.
  • Self introspection -deepening my thoughts trying to feel and see through my heart to discover the truth, and seeking to discover more with my heart than with the five limited senses.

These principles have guided my decisions and actions, and I hope they remain part of my legacy in the minds of those who knew me.

Did I have the courage to face my challenging dreams?

dreams

For the most part, yes. I have taken some risks and pursued many of my dreams. However, there were a few moments, most in my youth, that fear or uncertainty held me back. I struggled to define and express my thoughts clearly and frankly, but over time, I learned and dared to do it.

I was also slow to acknowledge my true feelings, which held me back from making important changes in my life. But over time I have learned and improved. I still have dreams to fulfill, projects I want to explore, experiences I hope to have, and I remain optimistic that they will come true. The pursuit of dreams is a lifelong journey and I am on my way.

How Satisfied Am I With Myself?

My life has been filled with meaningful experiences, challenges that have made me stronger, and relationships that have enriched my journey. I believe that in most cases, I did the right things.

I have tried to live with integrity, to work hard, and to support those around me. I can look back with deep emotion and gratitude. However, life is a journey of continuous growth, and I embrace both my successes and the lessons learned from my mistakes. I know I have done my best to learn from these moments and improve.

I truly believe I have been a very fortunate and blessed person.

The Legacy I Wish to Leave (How will people remember me?)

I hope to be remembered not only as a supportive, grateful, and kind person but also as a passionate, bold, persistent, cunning, and fun-loving individual—someone who was always willing to listen and help. I hope my loved ones will remember me as someone who lived with purpose, stayed true to my way of life, and made a positive impact on those around me contributing positively to my community and environment.

I also hope my loved ones remember my attitude toward life—enjoying it without taking it too seriously, imagining different possibilities to explore alternative solutions to any kind of problem, whether through personal interactions, professional contributions, or acts of kindness. I want my legacy to reflect a life well-lived—not one of excess but one full of care, gratitude, and compassion. Beyond my engineering career and personality, my legacy is also about the attitude I bring to life—a sense of peace, a daring spirit to chase my dreams, and the joy of smiling as much as possible. Life is full of uncertainties, but I hope to be remembered as someone who approached challenges with resilience and helped others along the way.

And Then, When I Go…

Life after death is a mystery, and I often wonder: Where will I go? Which universe will I visit? These are questions without clear answers, but they invite deep reflection.

What I leave behind will be the moments, the memories I have shared, the relationships I have nurtured, and the way of living I have passed on to my family, relatives, friends, and community.

A legacy is not just about material achievements: it is about how we touch the hearts and lives of others—through our relationships, our way of life, and the memories we create. If I am remembered as someone who supported, inspired, and cared for those around me, then I will have left a legacy that truly matters.

If I could leave some final recommendations, they would be these:

Follow your dreams with passion, kindness, and courage. Honor your word. Dare to take risks, dare yourself to make mistakes, and learn from them. Be brave, stubborn, bold—but also cunning. Embrace change and always strive to make the world a little better than you found it. Never stop learning. Be persistent. Smile as an answer to uncertainty and risk. Dare to cross the river, to jump on the train. Stay calm and have fun in risky situations—don’t take life too seriously. But most importantly, be at peace with your own self, dare to go deeply into your thoughts, trying to feel and see through your heart, letting it be your guide, your light in the darkness to discover the truth, seeking to discover more with the heart than with the five limited senses.

I have no certainty about what awaits me in the afterlife, but I wish for it to be filled with peace, light, love, adventure, and the presence and memories of my loved ones. I believe I will enjoy it and learn from it, although that will be another chapter I will have to write later.             In the meantime, and until that final moment comes, I will continue living with purpose, joy, passion, and gratitude.
