अब जब देश में अर्थव्यवस्था पूर्ण रूप से खुल चुकी है तो अब गरीब वर्ग के लिए रोजगार के अवसर भी उपलब्ध कराए जा रहे हैं। मनरेगा योजना भी ग्रामीण इलाकों में वृहद स्तर पर चलायी जा रही है एवं इससे भी ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ाए जा रहे हैं। निर्माण एवं पर्यटन क्षेत्र भी अब खोल दिए गए हैं जिससे इन क्षेत्रों में भी रोजगार के अवसर वापिस निर्मित होने लगे हैं। भारत में तो धार्मिक पर्यटन भी बहुत बढ़े स्तर पर होता है एवं धार्मिक स्थलों को खोलने से भी रोजगार के अवसर बढ़ रहे हैं।
